English Paper Piecing with Jessie Dove

English Paper Piecing (EPP) is a hand sewing technique where fabric pieces are wrapped around pre-cut paper templates, creating precise shapes that are then stitched together to form a design. The paper templates are removed once the pieces are sewn together. This technique is often used to create intricate patterns with many angles and are amazingly precise.

Many of you will remember our very talented and creative Jessie Dove from her previous employment here at Roxanne’s. She will guide you through the steps of English Paper Piecing and give you all her tips and tricks to make it easy and successful. She has lots of experience with EPP. This is taught in 2 - 3 hour classes. EPP can be addictive, watch out!

Date: 2 Sundays, April 27 & May 4

Time: 12 noon-3, (Please eat lunch before class)

Fee: $125.00 Includes basic supplies for your project. In class you will be making hexagonal quilt blocks from smaller hexagons and diamonds. The class will include instructions and materials for how to finish these into coasters for a fun quick project. Jessie will also show you many other things you can do with the skills you learn!

Please bring to class:

small scissors

18 or 28mm rotary cutter

4 fat quarters of fabric or your fabric scraps, (iron before you come to make it easier).
